When you choose to sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we collect your email address and basic profile information (such as your display name). This information is securely transmitted to and stored in our backend service solely for the purpose of authenticating you and enabling cross-device synchronization.

Synchronized App Data

When you sign in, we synchronize your app data to our secure servers to ensure you can access your preferences across multiple devices. This data includes your Favorite Kalaams, Custom Playlists, and App Settings (e.g., Theme, Font preferences).

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand how users interact with the app. This service collects anonymous usage data such as screen views, device type, operating system version, and general location. This data does not personally identify you and is used exclusively to improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Authenticate your account and provide cross-device data synchronization.
• Maintain and improve the Bayaaz app.
• Monitor app performance and resolve crashes.

3. Third-Party Services

The App may include content served by third parties to enhance functionality:

• YouTube API Services: The App uses the YouTube Player to display videos. By using this feature, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts: The App uses Google Fonts to display typography.

These services may collect technical data (such as IP addresses) as part of their standard operation to serve content, but the App itself does not facilitate the collection of user data for tracking purposes.

4. Permissions

The App requires the following permissions to function:

• Internet: To download updates and stream media content.
• Post Notifications: To inform you about successful data updates (Android 13+).
• Bluetooth Scanning & Advertising:Used to find nearby devices broadcasting Bayaaz content and to share your current Kalaam with them (“Lyrics Drop” feature).
• Location (Access Fine Location):
  • Android 11 and below:The Android operating system requires “Location” permission to perform Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning.
  • We DO NOT track your physical location. This permission is used solely to enable the Bluetooth scanning functionality required for the Lyrics Drop feature. We do not collect, store, or share your GPS or location data.
  • Android 12 and above: We use the neverForLocation flag, meaning the app does not request or access physical location data for Bluetooth operations.
